When DC talk first started it was originally called "DC talk and the one way Crew", I’m glad they decided to change that. But for those of you who still can't figure out what "DC talk" means, it is really quite simple D is for Decent and C is for Christian and of course TALK, all their cd’s made before ‘95 mentioned what the DC was for but I guess they figured everyone knew by the time "Jesus Freak" came out. Toby Mac started DC talk with Michael Tait at the college they attended, they eventually met Kevin Max (who at the time was Kevin Smith) and thus DC talk was born. People didn’t expect DC talk to take off like they did and I don’t believe DC talk themselves thought they would, Kevin Max in his book "Unfinished Work" explained he just thought it was something to do to get money in College.... Kevin was the youngest of the three, Michael being the second oldest and Toby the oldest. If you went out and bought their first CD "the self titled" you would be shocked at just how far they have come, Toby always could rap but he has become one the greatest in my opinion.
